Public Hearing Has Been Rescheduled
HWHOA • May 15, 2020
The public hearing for the proposed rezoning and development across from the entrance to Huntington West has been rescheduled. It will be heard before the Planning Commission on
Wednesday, June 3 at 7 pm at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. The staff has recommended approval of the proposal, with conditions. We will need to fight hard to make sure the conditions stipulated in any approval are the best-case scenario we can negotiate for Huntington West. It is very important that every homeowner in Huntington West attends the hearing and/or sends an email to the Planning Commission members (email addresses in a previous post) and our Commissioner, Tommy Hunter. The proposal, if approved by the Planning Commission, will then be sent for a final vote by the full Gwinnett County Commission on
Tuesday, June 23 at 7 pm. This proposal for rezoning and development, if approved as presented, has the potential to impact our current high property values and quality of life enjoyed in Huntington West for many years to come. The traffic is already a nightmare at times and apartments across from our neighborhood would be devastating.
Please get involved and stay informed. Share this information with your neighbors and with friends and family in the area - we need all the help we can get!
NOTE: Due to the rescheduled public hearing, the annual membership meeting of the Huntington West Homeowners Association will be postponed one week and will be held at Station 18 on Thursday, June 11 at 7 pm.

Huntington West is blessed with many generous homeowners willing to help a neighbor in need, even a neighbor they have never met. Our Board would like to thank a trio of neighbors who stepped up to help a single mom who needed repairs to her picket fence. Many thanks to retiree Dave Lawson for volunteering to replace over 50 broken pickets on the fence.
